5/24/2023 0 Comments Morning Man by Barbara KellynBetsy was a Sunday school teacher for many years, and then a youth leader. She enjoyed working, but mostly she enjoyed interacting and making connections with others. Betsy had many different jobs and kept herself busy over the years, like making thousands of jars of jams and jellies for Hurds Orchards, Mulkin Chevrolet as a greeter, a cafeteria worker for the Holley Central Schools, a greeter, cashier, and sales floor associate at Wal-Mart, a teacher’s aide in the Brockport Central School District, and at Robb Farms in the market. She loved to read and play Words with Friends and sit in the sun and talk with friends. She was also known for her baking, especially her apple dumplings and lots and lots of cookies. Betsy was always known for her smile and laugh she loved to have fun and had a great sense of humor. As well as many close friends who are like family. Her sisters Evelyn Koons and Sandra Demick, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Betsy is survived by her loving husband of 57 years William (Bill), sons and daughters-in-law, Alan (Lynn), and Mike (Melanie) Proud, grandchildren, Anthony (Jessica) Jett, Joey, Nikol, Jessaca, Jacob, Joshua, Katelyn, and Mason Proud, great grandchildren, Isabelle, and Riley Jett. She is preceded in death by her parents Eldyn and Orpha Brooks, and her in-laws William and Hazel Proud. Betsy (Brooks) Proud suddenly and unexpectedly entered the loving arms of her savior March 5, 2023.
